KJMC is the
communication bridge that closes the gap that exists between various
ethnic groups, cultural groups and those entities who seek to access,
serve, address and/or support a diverse range of markets.
KJMC promotes a vast range of diverse viewpoints and alternative
entertainment. Broadcasting has been and continues to be an
effective means of disseminating information and entertainment to varied
audiences. We provide high quality, community-based radio programs
that foster the diverse opinions and multi-cultural expressions that
enrich our community.
KJMC targets residents and businesses, with emphasis on minority
populations. The station:

on site remote broadcasts for grass roots local cultural events
- Properly
disseminates information that will produce far-reaching effects such

revenue and spending for listeners and underwriters resulting in a
better informed and involved audience
KJMC has three main
goals:

KJMC offers local talk shows
highlighting home buying, credit repair, employment issues,
local sports and relationship building are regular features.
It's nationally syndicated morning show,
The Tom Joyner Morning Show brings a Black
National perspective to Des Moines. Securing a morning
talk show with the magnitude of listeners and top ranked cities
currently airing the Tom Joyner Morning Show places Des Moines
in a new light and position enabling the city to attract and
retain persons of color being recruited or transferred from
larger cites.
In conclusion, KJMC bridges gaps, provides information and
builds communities. All provided to Des Moines with little
fanfare or recognition. There are no other media sources
providing similar programming, targeting or directly impacting
the minority population, building cross-cultural bridges or
fostering a spirit of tolerance and hospitality in Polk County. |
